Currency, Banking, Credit cards
The currency used in India is the Indian Rupee (INR).
All major credit cards are accepted and cash machines are readily available throughout India.
Electricity
In India, power plugs and sockets (outlets) of types C, D and M are used. The standard voltage is 230 V at a frequency of 50 Hz.

Insurance
It is strongly recommended that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover the duration of your visit to India and to protect you against cancellation charges, loss or damage to your luggage and personal effects, loss of cash and medical expenses.
Languages
The 61st CIML meeting will be conducted in English and simultaneous interpretation into and from French will be provided.

Delegates should please note that (as usual) no paper documents will be available for the CIML meeting; all the meeting documents will be made available for download via the CIML pages.
Receptions
- OIML Reception on the Monday evening 26 October 2026 from 19:00 to 22:00
- Host Country Reception on the Tuesday evening 27 October 2026 from 19:00 to 22:00.
Dress code will business casual; more information will be provided in due course.
Shuttle service
The Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, will provide a pick-up and drop-off shuttle service between New Delhi International Airport and hotels for all 61st CIML Meeting participants.
